  • Ergonomics, Health & Safety and Production Engineering

  • Technical Textiles and Industrial Applications Including Composite Materials

  • E-Textiles, Smart Textiles and Textile circuitry.

  • User Comfort, Quality Assurance and Testing, etc.

Abstract Submission

We are inviting researchers, academics, industry experts, professionals and research students to submit an abstract (max. 200 words) by completing the following form.

Shortlisted speakers will be invited to submit full manuscripts for publication in the journal "iLetters (ISSN: 3049-9054)" following the double blind review process. APC waiver will be offered to the TRC speakers.

CRISAT is introducing a brand-new academic research competition for textile and fashion students in Bangladesh.

Registration Deadline: 30 May 2025

Registration Fee: Tk 750/- 

(non-refundable)

Eligibility: Must be a student of any Undergraduate (BSc/BA) or Masters (MSc/MA) programme in textile and fashion (Or within 6 months of course completion during the date of registration)

  • attend al least two online sessions on research skill and academic writing to be delivered by Dr. Sadat Sayem (Editor of The Textile Institute Professional Publication Series).

Guideline for Level 1:

  1. Complete your Registration by 30 May 2025

  2. Attend two online sessions on research skill and academic writing to be delivered by Dr. Sadat Sayem (Editor of The Textile Institute Professional Publication Series) during mid of June 2025

  3. Select any textile and fashion topic or process, sub-process or relevant machine, for example, advances in sizing, warping, winding, carding, drawing, combing, spinning, weaving, weft insertion, knitting, scouring, bleaching, dyeing, printing, finishing, fabric cutting, sewing, inspection, packaging and any other topics from fashion and textiles. Chose just one topic/area that interests you the most.

  4. Carry out literature research in your chosen topic to identify the technological innovations in terms of sustainability.

  5. Prepare and submit a technical essay (minimum 500 words) based on your literature review on your chosen topic without help of any AI tools like chat GPT by last week of June 2025.

Information on Level 2:

  1. 30 participants will be shortlisted based on the submitted essay and will be invited to attend two more research skill training sessions on conference presentation, article writing and poster presentation in July 2025 (non-shortlisted participants from Level 1 may also attend these sessions for their own learning if they want).

  2. Enhance your essay and convert it into a short article following the guideline to be provided during the research workshops and submit by 30 August 2025 for publication in the TRC Book of Paper (ISSN : 2413-9629)

  3. Give a 5-minute presentation in front of a panel of judges in September 2025 (The judges panel will include University Teachers from different universities in Bangladesh and Senior Researchers from around the world).

  4. 5 shortlisted participants will be invited to present in front of the audiences and judges at 6th Textile Research Conference (TRC) on 1st November 2025

  5. 10 Shortlisted participants will be invited to exhibit posters at the 6th Textile Research Conference (TRC) on 1st November 2025.

Awards:

  • Top 2 contestants from the Oral Presentation Category and Top 2 contestants from the Poster Exhibition Category will be awarded with trophy, certificate and Prize Money (Amount to be confirmed as we are still discussing with sponsors).

  • All 30 contestants shortlisted from level 1 will be given individual certificates.
