Call for Papers

Fashion-Textiles-Wearables (FTW) 2026
13 - 15 April 2026 | In-person Physical Event

King's House Conference Centre, Manchester, M1 7HB, UK

The iCongress Innovation committee is inviting following three types of presentations/papers for oral presentation at the international conference Fashion-Textiles-Wearables (FTW) and publication (optional) in the “iLetters”- an open access journal of innovations. :

  • Original work (research in progress) that represents the findings from any research work that is in progress but at least 25% complete.

  • Original work (research complete) that represents findings from any research work that is at least 75% complete. 

  • Review work that presents a state-of-the-art picture of a theme or subtheme of any field of study. It could be a 5-year review, 7-year review or a 10-year review of officially published materials or products. 

The duration of each presentation is 15~20 Minutes excluding Q&A.

  • Ergonomics, Health & Safety and Production Engineering

  • E-Textiles, Dry electrode (Textrode), Conductive textiles and Textile circuitry,

  • Microelectromechanical system (MEMS),

  • Sensors and Actuators - accelerometer, magnetometer, gyroscope, nine-axis intertial motion unit (IMU), etc.

  • Flexible circuit board and conductive materials,

  • Conductive printing, conducting, weaving, knitting and embroidery,

  • Measuring ECG, EMG, and EEG etc. with wearables,

  • Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), motion artifact, data filtering,

  • Smart Electro-Clothing Systems (SeCSs) - ECG shirt, yoga pant, diabetic socks, baby monitoring hat, smart arm bands, functional sports bra etc.

  • Wearables for remote health monitoring, emergency response, fitness tracking, athlete tracking etc. 

  • Design, fit, comfort, washability etc. of smart clothing.

  • Computer-aided Design (CAD) for fashion

  • Virtual Fashion Simulation and e-prototype

  • Digital pattern cutting, Marker making

  • Body Scanning, Digital Anthropometry

  • Virtual Avatar, Animation and Digital Twin for fashion

  • Virtual Reality (VR), Digital Fashion Mirror and Augmented Reality (AR) for fashion industry

  • E-Commerce for fashion business

  • Social media marketing

  • Product Life Cycle Management (PLM)

  • E-tools for Supply Chain, Sustainability and Transparency

  • Block chain technologies

  • Big Data and data analytics

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) for fashion

Abstract submission

We are inviting researchers, academics, industry experts, professionals and students to submit 200 words abstract using the submission form by the 15th of December 2025Decision on acceptance is notified within 7 working days from the date of abstract submission. 

Abstracts can be submitted through the iCongress submission form linked below.

 

Registration

All speakers are required to register by paying a fee.

Fees (for in-person physical event):

  • Early Bird registration fee - £310 (by 31 Jan 2026)

  • Standard registration fee - £380

  • Student fee -  £270

  • Discounted fee available for selected DAC-listed countries

Publication

Shortlisted speakers will be invited to submit short manuscripts for publication in the “iLetters”- the open access journal of innovations - ISSN 3049-9054 (100% APC waiver applies for FTW Speakers).
