Call for Papers

You are cordially invited to participate in the iCongress event “Smart Wearables and Fashion 4.0 Congress (SWFC)”, an international virtual forum for the sharing and exploring new research, innovation, creative practice and pedagogy surrounding wearable technology, e-textiles and fashion industry 4.0.

The event covers the following topics, but are not limited to:

  • Design, fit, comfort, washability etc. of smart clothing.

  • Virtual Reality (VR), Digital Fashion Mirror and Augmented Reality (AR) for fashion industry

  • Product Life Cycle Management (PLM)

  • E-tools for Supply Chain, Sustainability and Transparency

Abstract submission:

Academics, early-career researchers, postgraduates, practitioners, makers, educators, industry experts, professionals and students are welcome to present their work from any of the following categories:

  • Original work - RIP (research in progress) represents the findings from any research work that is in progress but at least 25% complete.

  • Original work - RC (research complete) represents findings from any research work that is at least 75% complete. 

  • Review work presents a state-of-the-art picture of a theme or subtheme of any field of study. It could be a 5-year review, 7-year review or a 10-year review of officially published materials or products. 

You can submit your abstract containing a maximum of 200 words through the iCongress submission form linked below on or before 29 October 2021.



All speakers are required to register by paying a fee.


  • Standard fee - £100

  • Student fee -   £75

  • Discounted fee available for DAC listed countries


Shortlisted speakers will be invited to submit short manuscripts for publication in the “iLetters”- the open access journal of innovations (APC waived for 2021).
